I recently posted on Instagram about Jimmy and I’s desire to have kids and how that has been delayed far longer than we would have liked. You can read that here.
But I wanted to provide a list of resources that helped me for anyone else going through a season of divine delay.

Worship for the Waiting
There’s been so many songs that have propped me up during our divine delay. Here’s the playlist.
Isaiah 54 says,
Sing, barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
burst into song, shout for joy,
you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband,”
says the Lord.
Something that has been profound during our delay has been worship. It’s not always easy, but I feel like it’s a divine exchange. It’s a way for me to cast my cares on the Lord when I don’t have words. When I’m too tired, angry, frustrated to even have a conversation. I belt out songs that resonate with my feelings and somehow the Lord meets me in that place.
One of Rita Springer’s songs says, “find me in the wreckage, praise on my lips” – I want that to be me. Whatever the wreckage of life looks like, I want praise to be on my lips.
